CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION

POLICIES, PROCEDURES, & GUIDELINES:
- Prior to participating, participants must review the SCGA’s Policies & Procedures.
- The SCGA's mask policy follows in accordance with the CDC and the California Department of Public Health. This is subject to change due to any local guidelines or site protocols. Click here to learn more.
FORMAT:
- All players will participate in a 36-hole stroke-play championship (18 holes each day).
- Round 1: Friday, August 20 on Course #2.
- Round 2: Saturday, August 21 on Course #1.
- Awards will be given to those who finish in 1st through 5th place. In the event of a tie for first place only, there will be a hole-by-hole sudden death playoff following the conclusion of regular play. Ties for fifth place will be issued duplicate awards.
PRACTICE ROUNDS:
- Players may plan for practice rounds at their own expense.
- Please contact the golf shop at (626) 585-3598 or go to brooksidegc.com to schedule a practice round.
- Standard rates apply to all participants.
REGISTRATION:
There will be no formal check-in for this championship. Players must check-in at the starter window if they wish to rent a cart (see section on Automotive Transportation below).
STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS:
- Starting times and pairings will be e-mailed to players and posted online at scga.org one week in advance of the championship.
- Starting times will range from 7 a.m. – 11:10 a.m. each day.
- Players are encouraged to arrive at their assigned tee well in advance of their starting time, as the SCGA starter will have information to discuss and distribute to each player in the group. Furthermore, players arriving late will be penalized under Rule 5.3a of the Rules of Golf. For example, the 9:00 a.m. starting time is defined as 9:00:00, and players arriving after that time are considered late. Lead groups should plan to be at their assigned tee 10 minutes in advance of their starting time. Subsequent groups are encouraged to arrive in time to watch the group in front of them tee off.
TEES & YARDAGE:
- All yardages and course information can be found in the “Yardage Information” tab located on the Championship Portal.
DRIVING RANGE:
- The driving range will be available by 6 a.m. on both days of the championship.
- Range balls will be provided compliments of Brookside GC and the SCGA on the driving range. Please use the designated stalls set aside for the qualifier.
FOOD SERVICE & PURCHASES:
- Cash and major credit cards will be accepted for all purchases.
- The restaurant will be open beginning at 6 a.m. for Grab-and-Go items and 8 a.m. for indoor/outdoor dining.
RULES OF PLAY:
- The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and The R&A govern play.

AUTOMOTIVE TRANSPORTATION, PULL/PUSH CARTS:
- Automotive transportation is optional at the players expense ($17); however, players who are able and willing to walk may do so.
- There will be a maximum of two carts per group and two bags per cart. Players wishing to ride will be expected to share a cart with another player.
- Each player is entitled to one seat in a cart. If a player brings a caddie, the caddie may ride provided there is a vacant seat in one of the carts. Otherwise, either the player or the caddie must walk.
- Drivers must be at least 16 years of age (or older if club policy dictates).
- Pull or push carts are permitted.
CADDIES & SPECTATORS:
- Players may provide their own caddie (see section on Automotive Transportation).
- Spectators are not allowed at this event due to current Brookside GC policies.
DRESS CODE:
Appropriate golf attire must be worn, including adhering to any facility-specific policies.

CANCELATIONS & REFUNDS:
- To withdraw for any reason prior to the start of a SCGA competition, a player must notify the SCGA Championships & Golf Operations Department at champs@scga.org.
- Failure to notify the SCGA will subject the player to suspension from future SCGA competitions.
- Refund Policy:
- Cancelation prior to the entry closing date: Full refund less a $10 administrative fee.
- Cancelation after the entry closing date and more than 48 hours prior to the start of the competition: 50% of the entry fee.
- Cancelation within 48 hours of the start of the competition: No refund.
